Mats has made it public knowledge that he is unsure of his future for next season on whether he will retire of continue playing in the NHL. One thing he is sure of is he wants to retire a Maple Leaf.

“We’ve told his agent that we won’t be offering him a contract” were the words out of Cliff Fletchers mouth when discussing the future of John Pohl with the Maple Leafs.
Pohl was an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.
