Leafs can’t seem to catch a break
January 31st, 2008
Well I guess that is not entirely true. The only break they seem to be able to catch is broken bones. With several goals under review tonight against Carolina and last game against St. Louis, only 1 of them were ruled in favour for the Leafs.
One has to start to wonder if it's fate for Toronto to do poorly this year, they have a stronger team on paper than last year but are doing worse. Paul Maurice has stated this is the best team he has coached to date, yet he's having one of his worst years as a coach (when you look at the teams record)
There will be many frustrated Leaf fans after the past 2 games. I'm going to guess that the players will be even more frustrated as the time before the trade deadline ticks down. Many will probably start to wonder how much longer they will be staying in Toronto.
