The Leafs have had trouble getting full value for many of the supposed snipers they've acquired since 1990.

Of the 50 they've brought in by trade or free agency in that span who had at least 20 goals with their old team, only 13 have managed to repeat that feat as Leafs, the most recent being Jason Blake.

With two goals in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, Blake is up to 21 goals, six more than last season after he came nowhere near a career high 40 on Long Island in 2006-07. Only a golden glove save by a down-and-out Marc-Andre Fleury kept Blake from a hat trick.

"We did a great job recovering and getting back tonight," Blake said.

The Leafs might have two new players reprise 20.
